Our Events

CGW, Inc. hosts many types of events throughout the year, including literary presentations, live action role playing games, ice skating, private museum tours, as well as Japanese and English teas. Each event is hosted by a CGW member and most are an opportunity to show off your recent historical, sci-fi, or fantasy ensemble.

This workshop is to create fully boned stays using the Larkin & Smith strapless Front and Back Lacing Stays Pattern.  Pattern includes fully illustrated directions to make an authentic and well fitting pair of stays.  The stays are worn with a stomacher and the lacing crossed back and forth in the front and spiral bound in the back.  Pattern includes two sizes and a documentation card with images of the original stays. CGW members meet up to go to movies that would be of interest to costumers. You are encouraged to wear a costume if you have one, or join us in your regular clothes.
