CGW is a club for amateurs and professionals who like to make historical, science fiction, or fantasy costumes.

Flapper Necklaces (and Earrings!) of the 1920s/1930s

1920s was an era where the female body became one long sinuous line.  To accentuate this, women wore long necklaces (past the waist!)  In this class, you too will make a long necklace, with options to shorten for 1930s, or also 1910s!  As well, we’ll be making chandelier earrings to match!

Date/Time (start & finish): Saturday, June 8, 2019  10:00 am to 4:00 pm

Location: Atelier Mela, 109 East Commonwealth Ave., Fullerton, CA 92832

Parking: There is ample parking behind the shop.

Are children allowed: No

Cost: $50

Materials list will be provided with registration confirmation email.

Teacher will provide: Semi-precious stones, seed beads, thread, needles, findings and handout. Color choices will be sent in the confirmation email.

Student provides: Reading glasses (if needed), bead board, wire cutters, needlenose pliers and round nose pliers.  (These last three tools can be found at Michaels or Joanns.)

These are semi-precious stones, and colors do vary as mineral content varies. This will give you a general idea of color, but please bring a fabric swatch if you want to color match. Other colors are available (but cost may change due to stone selection).
