Saying Thank You

The Costume College Committee and CGW Board would like to thank all of those who volunteered to teach at Costume College!!

Who are our Teachers?

Our Teachers range from the costuming hobbyist to professionals all of whom volunteer their time to share their knowledge, skills and talent with other like-minded individuals.  Many of our Teachers have taught at Costume College before, while others will be teaching for the first time this year.  The classes taught by our Teachers range from short (1 to 2 hour) lectures to all day workshops.  Many of our Teachers chose to register for Costume College as a student so that they may attend classes taught by others.  However, registering for Costume College is not required to volunteer to teach.

Sometimes just saying ‘Thank You’ isn’t enough so:

All of our Teachers are welcome to enjoy all the Social Events offered at Costume College: the Pool side Party on Thursday evening, the Friday evening Showcase, the Red Carpet and dancing at the Gala after dinner is over.  (A separate ticket (additional fee) is required to attend dinner at the Gala and to attend the Fantasy Tea on Sunday.)  Teachers are also welcome to visit the Hospitality Suite, Costume Displays and the Marketplace.

In addition the Costume College Committee and CGW Board provides lunch vouchers (to the Grab-in-Go stand) for each day a Teacher is scheduled to teach. *NOTE: For CoCo 2020 we are working with the Hotel and hope to be able to include the Hotel’s restaurant & bar (food only no alcohol) options to the vouchers.

NEW for 2020!!  We offer priority Hotel room night booking at the CoCo discounted rate.

We offer priority check-in on Thursday evening of CoCo. NEW for CoCo 2020 we will be hosting a Teacher reception on Thursday evening starting at 6:30pm in Hidden Hills. Please click here for details.

For those Teachers who chose to register as Students for Costume College, we recognize that they are not able to attend classes while they are teaching, therefore we reimburse a percentage of their registration fees based on the number of hours they are teaching.   The percentage amounts have changed over the years and are not finalized until after registration closes in June.
