CGW Workshop: Teagowns & Etc. (what to wear to the Belles and Beaux breakfast)

This workshop is being offered for anyone who needs a little help getting ready for the Belles and Beaux Breakfast at Costume College. For ladies, this includes Teagowns, Wrappers, and Kimonos. Gents can wear Smoking Jackets, Dressing Gowns, or Banyans. The lecture will include tips on fabrics, construction, and patterns.

Who is welcome: CGW and Sister Group Members. As the lecture is in a costume shop, children will not be accommodated. This event is not available to non-members. Become a CGW member today!

Parking: Parking is available in the Fullerton parking structure on Lemon and Fullerton College Drive for $2. Some street parking is available, but please be sure to follow all parking signs and regulations.



320097_295908450438712_819645374_a(1)Teacher:  Risé Reading has been a costumer, artist, and fashion historian for over 40 years, specializing in the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries. She began by designing and building historical wedding gowns and garments for re-enactor groups; now she is costuming purely for enjoyment. Risé is also an accomplished painter whose work is in collections around the country, and has produced fashion illustrations and theatre costume design illustrations. She currently resides in Marina del Rey, California.
