CGW Goes to Messiah Sing Along 2016

Sunday of Thanksgiving Weekend – November 27, 2016
Come join us (in Georgian/Baroque/Federal/Regency Era costume, if possible, or in your civvies/mundane clothes) for the Yorba Linda Art’s Alliance & the Handle Society’s 13th Annual Handel’s Messiah Sing Along at the Richard Nixon Library on Sunday, November 27th. (Thanksgiving Weekend). This is a Family Friendly Event! They love to have us each year and look forward to seeing us in costume.

Location: at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library & Birthplace, in the East room.
• Address: 18001 Yorba Linda Blvd, Yorba Linda, CA 92886;
• Nearby Major Intersection: Yorba Linda Blvd & Imperial Highway
Cost: $5 [Suggested Donation but please do give something as they have to pay to use the hall.]

Meetup Location (at the Site): Our group will be meeting inside the East Room (If you are facing the front…: the front Right, next to the choir).

Parking: Free (on site at the Museum)

Costume suggestions: Georgian (roughly mid-late: say 1740s-1800s), American Federal Era period (roughly 1789-1801), & or even Regency (1800s-1820s). The event is indoors so short, well behaved short sacque back trains are okay but do run risk to the wearer of someone stepping on them. Costumes are optional but very much appreciated. [Messiah was composed in 1741 by George Frideric Handel]

CGW Event Liaison: Loralee Page

More Details: Loralee will get seats together for those who RSVP, and we have permission to use the performers’ area to change and leave “mundane” clothes.
